Julie: The father is kind of not a very nice man.

Me: He isn't is he? But, our dad is pretty stellar, right?

Julie: Yes, yes he is. Their dad doesn't really read his Bible.

Me: (suppressed laughter) No, I never saw him read it in the movie.

Julie: That's probably why he isn't very nice. But, Mary makes sure he becomes nice. She has a beautiful voice. That's why he got nice.
